There is one little thing I found so far.

The module accepts the Joomla system URLs (e.g. index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=72&Itemid=359), but it doesn't seem to cooperate with the Joomla routing system, so the links aren't converted to SEF, when shown within the module's list (in the front-end).

[Tested with Joomla 3.9.20 and PHP 7.3]

CORRECTION:
I made a mistake in the previous post:
It doesn't *really* work with the system URLs. Only when one already uses the system url for any of the links in the module's list, then and only then it works and is possible to navigate between those links.

So, if this module will be supported for Joomla 4, it may be a good idea to also integrate it with Joomla's routing system.

Hello I have just installed module for test purpose on this page  demo.joomlatema.net/sidepanel-jtm-multiple-instance.html  I have added index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=130 as last menu item on module and it seems work. Can I see your site?

I checked also. It works with aricle id, but not if the item id (menu) is also included.
And, as you see in the demo, the url doesn't automatically change into its SEF one.

There is a post in joomla.org about integrating extensions with their routing system (the new Joomla router was implemented from 3.8 and on). But of course it's for components, and I think in modules the process is much easier.
